Who is GCM Consultants?
We are a local engineering firm that has been helping customers in all industries with engineering, operations and maintenance since 1994. We measure our success by the continuity of our work with all our clients. We're always on the lookout for new projects that push the boundaries of creativity.
Daily tasks include:
- Design and produce instrumentation drawings;
- Design and produce control panel layout drawings;
- Prepare cable, I/O and instrument lists;
- Perform plant surveys;
- Research manufacturers and standards;
- Assist engineers in producing drawings and specifications for projects;
- Participate in estimating drawing hours, issuing drawings;
- Contribute to the implementation of and compliance with procedures and best practices;
- Propose and implement improvements to enhance departmental efficiency.
Requirements:
- Education: DVS or DCS in industrial design or equivalent.
- 2–10 years of experience in the field.
- Fluency in French and English required occasionally since the person will collaborate with colleagues and clients outside of Quebec, both written and oral.

- Knowledge of AutoCAD software.
- Knowledge of Microstation and 3D an asset.
- Relevant industrial experience an asset.
- Relevant consulting engineering experience an asset.
