Who is GCM Consultants?
We are a local engineering firm that has been helping customers in all industries with engineering, operations and maintenance since 1994. We measure our success by the continuity of our work with all our clients. We're always on the lookout for new projects that push the boundaries of creativity.
Daily tasks include:
- Design and produce instrumentation drawings (control loops, process diagrams, installation details, P&ID);
- Design and produce layout drawings, control panels, junction boxes, communication networks, etc.;
- Prepare cable lists, I/O and instrument lists;
- Research and request drawings for creation and/or modification;
- Conduct the necessary research into manufacturers and norms/standards for the work to be carried out
- Request quotes from manufacturers;
- Assist the engineer in certain functions: estimation of drawing hours, system configuration of software used and drawing output;
- Check and reserve DCS and/or PCS I/O points;
- Conduct site visits;
- Participate in the drafting of specifications, site instructions and technical data sheets;
Requirements:
- Education: DVS or DCS in industrial design or equivalent.
- 2–10 years of experience in the field.
You are the one we are looking for if you have:
- Relevant industrial experience an asset.
- Relevant consulting engineering experience an asset.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD software.
- Knowledge of Microstation and 3D an asset.
- Autonomy, versatility and initiative.
- Ability to work easily as a team.
- Interest in technical drawings in other disciplines (versatility).
